Perancangan User Interface Sistem Informasi Penilaian Seminar Akademik Berbasis Web Pada Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau
ABSTRACT
Electrical Engineering is one of the department at the University of Riau. Most of the academic activities in the Department of Electrical Engineering are still carried out manually, one of which is the assessment of academic seminars which include practical work seminars, proposal seminars, and thesis sessions. Currently, the seminar is conducted by providing an assessment on the provided form. Furthermore, the assessment sheet will be approved by the Coordinator of Job Training & Final Projects and the Study Program Coordinator. Then the value will be entered into the student academic portal. The process takes quite a long time, so digitization is needed, by creating an information system facilitate the process of assessing academic seminars in the Department of Electrical Engineering. This study design a User Interface (UI) web-based academic seminar assessment information system. The UI design of the academic seminar assessment information system uses two methods, namely Common Element Sets (CES) and User Centered Design (UCD). The UI design results were tested using Standard ISO 25010 in terms of functional suitability, compatibility, portability, and usability using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The functional suitability test results run 100% of the expected results. The results of the compatibility test with trials of 7 types of browsers and their different versions, found that this system has no problem indicators, meaning that this system can run well in various browsers. The portability test results show that the product made can run on 5 types of computers for Electrical Engineering students with different specifications. The results of the usability test using UEQ obtained the results of the tensile test of 2.044, clarity of 2.214, efficiency of 2.135, accuracy of 1.958, stimulation of 2.004, novelty of 1.762 which is in the very good category.
