Keanekaragaman Jenis Herpetofauna Di Cagar Alam Bukit Bungkuk Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is a megabiodiversity country because Indonesia has abundant
natural resources, including herpetology. Herpetofauna is a group of reptiles
consisting of amphibians and reptiles. Herpetofauna diversity is one of the
parameters for the balance and sustainability of ecosystems in an area. The Bukit
Bungkuk Nature Reserve is one of the in-situ protected areas. The Bukit Bungkuk
Nature Reserve does not yet have written information about the presence and
diversity of herpetofauna. This study aimed to determine the diversity of
herpetofauna species in Bukit Bungkuk Nature Reserve, Kampar District, Riau
Province. Two data collection methods were used in this study, namely direct data
collection using the VES method (Visual Encounter Survey) in combination with
the line transect method and indirect data collection using traps. The results of the
study showed that the diversity of herpetofauna species found in the Bukit
Bungkuk Nature Reserve, Kampar Regency included 24 species of herpetofauna
from 13 families. Diversity index (H') is given the middle category on all lines.
Relative density (KR) in the Bukit Bungkuk Nature Reserve, namely Kaloula
pulchra of 15.15% in the medium category and the sameness of species (Evennes)
in the low category.
Keywords: Amphibians, Reptiles, Herpetofauna.
