The purpose of this study was to find out what factors most dominantly influenced the interest of class XII students at SMA Negeri 6 Tualang to continue their education at university. The problem at the location is that the average high school graduate in West Maredan Village does not continue their education at tertiary institutions, even though the distance from the village to the nearest tertiary institution is not far, only about 1 hour and 8 minutes. This research is located in West Maredan Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency. This research method is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection used is a questionnaire. This study used the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique using the slovin formula, so the sample was 65 students of class XII SMA Negeri 6 Tualang. The results showed that the factors influencing the interest to continue their education to tertiary institutions for class XII students of SMA Negeri 6 Tualang West Maredan Village, Tualang District,Siak Regency were classified as low. The conclusion of this study is that internal factors are obtained with sub-indicators of self-potential with a percentage of 47.08%, future expectations with a percentage of 14.98%. While external factors with sub family support with a percentage of 21.42%, and the influence of friends with a percentage of 19.39%. So that the most dominant
