Penggunaan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Di SMA Negeri 2 Karimun
This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking
skills through the use of the problem-based laearning (PBL) learning model, this
research was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Karimun in class XI Social Studies 2.
The approach used in this study is quasi-experimental research with a one group
pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques using observation sheets and
questionnaires, data on the suitability of the learning process with the model used
data are obtained through observation sheets based on PBL syntax, the level of
students' critical thinking skills is obtained through questionnaires of students'
critical thinking skills. Data analysis techniques using t-tests. The results showed
that the use of the PBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills, this is
evidenced from after the use of the PBL model students' critical thinking skills
increased from the medium category to the high category with a percentage of
53%. Thus, it is expected that teachers so that students' critical thinking skills can
increase so that it can be done with the use of appropriate learning models, one of
which is the problem-based learning model.
