Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menyelesaikan Soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Pada Peserta Didik Smas Al-Huda Pekanbaru
The purpose from this study was to determine the increase in the ability to completed
Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) question economics subjects. Type of this
research is quantitative and the research design is true-experimental design which is a
part of pre-test and post-test control group design. The instrument in this study used
economic HOTS questions with using with 15 multiple choice questions to determine
the increase in ability to completed Higher Order Thinking Skills question (HOTS)
with the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) teaching models. It’s known
that the pre-test distribution data analysis obtained a Mean 58.64 while the post-test
after being given a stimulus or treatment with the HOTS approach obtained a Mean
86.70, resulting in an increase in the results of the Higher Order Thinking Skills
(HOTS) post-test after being given a stimulus by applying of Problem Based
Learning (PBL) teaching models. There is a significant difference through the results
of the students' pre-test and post-test, as evidenced by the ttest obtained tcount > ttable
(6.855 > 1.675) and the Wilcoxon Sign rank test which produces a value
(asym.sig.(2-tailed)) is 0.000 < 0.05 , then the results of the hypothesis H0 are
rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is an effect after by
applying of Problem Based Learning (PBL) teaching models in increas the ability to
completed Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) question.
