ABSTRACT
In the current Industrial era, electricity is one of the mechanisms for converting electrical energy into mechanical energy. One of the most widely used electric motors as a drive is the 3-phase induction motor, because the construction is simpler and the rotation is relatively more constant with load changes compared to other types of electric motors. Based on the background above, the author is interested in understanding the principles and workings, designing and making and testing the ability of the design of a 3-phase induction motor 4-pole cage rotor with a voltage of 2.20-V. The 3-phase induction motor used as the drive of the engine supplied by a 3-phase power source in its installation must place some protection equipment to secure the motor and motor circuit from interference that will occur when the motor is operated. One way is to re-entangle the motor by changing or reducing the voltage and frequency entering the induction motor besides it will affect the speed of the motor, it will also affect the current passing through the motor coil, because this frequency change is directly proportional to the change in inductive reactance in the motor coil, the change in current in this motor will also result in a change in efficiency in the motor, Because this current is directly proportional to the power and power losses in the motor. Test data showed that the motor after rewinding had a speed of 1500 rpm, and a current of 2.7 amperes greater than that of the rewinding. motor that will be connected to the Variable Speed Drive unit to control the 3-Phase Induction Motor Cage Rotor whose speed on the Induction Motor can be determined according to the desired frequency.
