Kajian Kelayakan Antena Mikrostrip Sebagai Sensor Pendeteksi Glukosa Dalam Darah Non-Invasif Menggunakan Air Liur
ABSTRACT
Based on data in 2021 from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) it shows that the number of diabetes patients in Indonesia has reached 19.47 million people, which places Indonesia in fifth position as the country with the highest number of people living with diabetes during 2021. This makes it necessary to regularly check diabetics, but some diabetics are afraid to check regularly using invasive tools. In this study, a microstrip antenna was made to detect glucose with a non-invasive technique that operates at the ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) frequency, which works at a frequency of 2.45 GHz. The antenna is designed using a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) substrate with a CPW (Couplanar Waveguide) feeder technique using CST software. The test used a saliva sample with 20 volunteers, each of which was tested 20 times. The sample was measured using an antenna and a frequency shift was observed for each volunteer, which had previously been seen for the glucose level of each volunteer using an invasive device. Based on the tests carried out there is a frequency shift, this proves that the higher a person's glucose level, the higher the frequency produced in the test.
