Efektivitas Model Jigsaw Terhadap Hasil Belajar Teks Narasi (Cerita Imajinasi) Kelas VII Mts Al-Huda Pekanbaru
This study aims to test student learning outcomes on the application of the
Jigsaw model in the learning process of narrative texts (imagination stories) for class
VII. This research was conducted at MTs Al-Huda Pekanbaru, with a population of
150 students in class VII. There are two sample classes, namely the experimental class
and the control class. The experimental class applies the Jigsaw model in their
learning. The control class applies the conventional model in its learning. This type of
research is experimental research. The instrument used in this research is an objective
test. The research design uses a pretest-posttest only control group design. Giving a
pretest or initial test to the research object to obtain students' initial scores, then
v
giving a post test or final test to conclude the research. Data analysis techniques were
first tested for normality and homogeneity, followed by testing the hypothesis using the
t test. Based on the data on learning outcomes of narrative texts (imagination stories)
using the Jigsaw model, the average student learning achievement was 84,52 and the
average learning achievement with conventional learning was 76,04. Testing the
hypothesis with the t test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) worth 0,000. Because
the value of 0,000 is less than 0,05, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is
accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the Jigsaw model on
student learning outcomes.
