Management Bandwidth Jaringan Internet Menggunakan Metode Class Based Queueing Pada Sma N 07 Mandau
ABSTRACT
SMA N 07 Mandau is one of the schools that provides internet facilities, but the distribution of bandwidth has not been done evenly to each client in the school laboratory. In the laboratory there are 10 computers with internet access speed of 10 Mbps. However, when the computer is used simultaneously, there will be an uneven bandwidth allocation for each computer user. This problem is solved by applying the Class Based Queueing (CBQ) method so that bandwidth at SMA N 07 Mandau can be utilized as much as possible, all clients will get bandwidth quota according to the rules applied to bandwidth management. the results of parameter QoS measurements carried out for 5 days, it is clear that the changesare very significant when there is bandwidth management using the CBQ method.On the first day, the throughput value before bandwidth management is 484.316kbps and after the value is 2058.122 kbps. the delay before bandwidth management is 14.45 m/s and after that it is 3.48 m/s with an increase. and the value of packet loss before bandwidth management is 5.47% and after is 2.79% experiencing a significant increase in value. the class based queuing method has proven to be effective for bandwidth management at SMA N 07 Mandau, this is evidenced by the increase in the QoS parameter measurement values, where the measurement results of all parameters are in the good category.
