ABSTRACT
Acts of violence against women and children have recently occurred everywhere. The many different causative factors make this act of violence increasingly uncontrollable. The violence that occurred included physical, psychological, sexual and economic violence which had a bad psychological impact such as trauma for the victim. In Riau Province the level of cases of violence that occurred was recorded from 1 January 2022 to August 2022 totaling 442 cases and the City of Pekanbaru was the area that contributed the highest to cases of violence with a total of 163 cases. This shows the urgency of solving this phenomenon and victims of cases must receive further treatment due to acts of violence specifically. One of them is special trauma rehabilitation. In order for trauma treatment to be carried out optimally, a special place for rehabilitation is needed to speed up the healing process by paying attention to the response from the environment. For this reason, an architectural platform is needed as a response to existing problems, such as the Trauma Rehabilitation Center for Women and Children in Pekanbaru, which includes a trauma psychology clinic, an anti-violence community room, and healing facilities. The Trauma Rehabilitation Center can provide early follow-up on physical trauma and is more focused on healing trauma psychologically (psychologically). Victims will receive proper treatment with the help of psychologists and related experts so that the main goal for victims is to be able to recover and carry out normal activities as usual. In addition to acts of violence, the causes of this trauma can also include loss, fatal accidents, and others with special objects as victims of women and children. This Rehabilitation Center uses the Behavioral Architecture approach as the design theme. The application of behavioral architectural design principles will basically help identify space requirements through an analysis of user behavior. So that the use of a behavioral architectural approach is a suitable theme choice for developing the design of the Women and Children Trauma Rehabilitation Center in Pekanbaru.
