Deiksis Sosial Dalam Novel Nakhoda Lancang Karya Selasih

This study aims to identify and describe the kind of social deixis in novel Nakhoda Lancang by Selasih. This study used a qualitative descriptive method using documentation and literature to obtaining data in this study. The data collection technique used was the note taking technique. To analyze the data, researchers use the model of Miles an Huberman. Activities in analyzing research data include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The result of this research indicate that there are two types of social deixisin the novel Nakhoda Lancang by Selasih, namely social-title deixis and social-nickname deixis. All of the data in this research shows the use of vertical social-deixis spoken by people with higher social status to people with lower status, and vice versa. The use of vertical social deixis is also spoken by someone who is older to someone who is younger, and vice versa.
