ABSTRACT
Technology cloud computing (cloud computing) is a relatively new information technology that has brought convenience to its users where this technology acts as a place for storing data and communicating data on the internet and can be accessed by users anywhere and anytime on a network as said by ( Bagus, 2019), system cloud computing accessed on the network so that for security on the service systemcloud computing Care must be taken to protect the data stored on the system from criminal activity on the internet network. Generally on the security that the user is concerned about cloud computing namely on data security, storage and network management used on the systemcloud computing, the threat that users are concerned about that occurs in network activities, namely the threat of attack Denial of Service (DoS), problems that occur can be solved by detecting attacks using the methodIntrusion Detection System (IDS) using SNORT IDS which can detect using the rules used for detection. The results of the research conducted by the author see the vulnerability of the service systemcloud computing, the impact of the attack denial of service (DoS), SNORT IDS detection system performance and service performance before using SNORT IDS and after using SNORT IDS by measuring service performance, namely the throughput value of 9.2/minute and 11.7/minute before and after using SNORT and response time of 65325 /ms and 51074/ms the longest.
