Penerapan Quality Function Deployment (Qfd) Pada Pengembangan Desain Mesin Gerinda Camshaft Racing
ABSTRACT
Racing Camshaft grinding machine is a machine used for modifying or increasing the number of Camshafts. The purpose of developing this design is to make the process of Camshaft manufacturing easier, as the machine grinds the lift according to the desired specifications. The design method used is Quality Function Deployment (QFD). The objective of this research is to design or develop a conventional Camshaft grinding machine. Data collection is done through interviews and questionnaire surveys. The research results in the development of a racing Camshaft grinding machine design that considers consumer preferences, such as ease of use, easy availability of spare parts, easy maintenance, easy component replacement, durability, appropriate size for easy machine relocation, as well as providing better comfort and productivity. Through the discussion conducted to develop the design of a racing Camshaft grinding machine using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) analysis, the design of the machine is obtained. It aligns with consumer needs regarding the desired or required product characteristics for product evaluation.
