Analisis Potensi Limbah Perkebunan Berupa Sabut Kelapa Di Kecamatan Pulau Burung Sebagai Bahan Bakar Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (Pltu) Menggunakan Teknologi Gasifikasi
ABSTRAK
The fuels which is often used in steam power plant come from limited fpssil fuels. The limited fossil fuels forces us to fins another alternative fuels. One of alternative fuels which is used in steam power plant is biomass. Coconut coir is biomass which has potential to become alternative fuels. Availability of coconut coir in Pulau Burung is over supply. This paper aims to calculate eletrical power which is generatwd from coconut coir utilization as energy sources in steam power plant. The method which is used in this paper is gasification, biomass processing produces burned gas (CO, CH4, H) which is used for steam power plant. The results of availability of coconut coir values have 1.053,405 Kilograms/hour in each year. The minimum heat values from burning each 1 kilograms has 18.469,1259 kilojoules. The utilizatiin coconut coir which has 1.792,5042 kilograms/hour produces 590,8506 kilowatts of turbine output and 557,1721 kilowatts of elecrical power. With the design of the PLTU system designed 2 units that produce a total power of 1.114,3442 kW
