Penerapan Blended Learning Berbantuan Google Classroom Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik Pada Materi Kesetimbangan Ion Dan Ph Larutan Penyangga Di SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru
Learning needs to be further optimized considering the many government efforts to increase the competence of teachers and students. For teachers, the existence of PembaTIK is in line with improving students' learning abilities according to the 21st century learning paradigm known as 4C in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which has made technology the basis of life. Apart from this, in the classroom the teacher continues to teach at the same pace for all students, even though it is known that each student has a different learning style. So, it is natural that in a class there are students who understand quickly and some are slow. Through the results of a preliminary study at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru, information was obtained that the ionic balance material and the pH of the buffer solution is one of the chemical materials that is considered difficult for most students. In the discussion learning process, it is known that some students tend to be afraid to express opinions and are passive. Not only communication skills, students are also less able to solve reasoning problems if the questions given have been varied. This lack of reasoning ability can be caused by the lack of critical thinking skills of students associating the material that has been previously studied with the material being studied. So we need conditions where these problems can be overcome.
The description of some of the results of previous research on the use of blended learning through google classroom gave a positive response to improving the quality of student learning and this has something to do with the problems discussed. However, its application in an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills, especially in ionic balance material and the pH of buffer solutions has never been discussed, so this is the research gap in this study. So a research was conducted which aimed to find out whether the application of google classroom-assisted blended learning could improve students' critical thinking skills on ionic balance material and the pH of buffer solutions at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.
The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru, class XI MIPA, even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is an experimental research conducted on two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The research design used was the Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posstest Design. In this study, the experimental class (36 students) used blended learning assisted by google classroom, while the control class (33 students) did not, in studying ionic balance material and the pH of buffer solutions. The data analysis technique used is statistical hypothesis testing (t-test) with the prerequisite data being normally distributed (Lilliefors normality test) and homogeneous (homogeneity test). Based on the analysis of the research results, it was concluded that the application of google classroom-assisted

blended learning can improve students' critical thinking skills in ionic balance material and pH of buffer solutions with tcount (2.07) ≥ ttable (1.67) with dk = 67, α = 0 ,05. The category of increasing students' critical thinking skills is in the high category according to the N-gain test.
