In physics education, students' interest in participating in learning activities significantly affects the success of the learning process. In addition to interest, communication skills are crucial for achieving learning success. Communication in physics is closely related to scientific communication. An individual's understanding of graphical representation is related to their understanding of a concept, and this is a crucial skill in science concepts, including physics. In SMAN 2 Bantan, students still have low learning interest and are not able to communicate using pictures, tables, graphs, or diagrams, which are actually tools that enhance scientific communication skills. The low interest and communication skills of students in discovering concepts and theories can be developed through a learning process that uses specific learning models or methods. Therefore, the researcher used the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Spinnerwheel.com.
The purpose of this study is to implement an effective TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Spinnerwheel.com to improve the interest and written scientific communication skills of students in SMAN 2 Bantan, specifically in class X IPA 3.
The research design used in this study is classroom action research (CAR) with four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The research subjects are students of class X IPA 3 in SMAN 2 Bantan, Bengkalis Regency, Riau. Class X IPA 3 consists of 24 students, comprising 11 male students and 13 female students. The dependent variables in this study are interest and written communication skills, while the independent variable is the TGT cooperative learning model. In this study, the games used are a spinner wheel created with the help of Spinnerwheel.com. The developed learning tools were validated before being used. The data collection methods include student and teacher activity observation sheets, a student interest questionnaire, a written communication skills test, and documentation. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis in percentages.
The results of the data analysis show an improvement in the students' interest and written communication skills. The improvement occurred from the pre-cycle to cycle I and cycle II, with details of students' learning interest (59% to 71% to 79%) and written communication skills (52% to 72% to 83%). Both student and teacher activities also experienced improvement from cycle I to cycle II, namely teacher activity (73% to 86%) and student activity (63% to 77%).
In conclusion, the implementation of the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Spinnerwheel.com in class X IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 2 Bantan has

improved the interest and written scientific communication skills of the students. Interest and written scientific communication skills increased in cycle I compared to the pre-cycle data and further increased in cycle II. Spinnerwheel.com is a website used to create a spinner wheel that serves as a tool for games and tournaments conducted in the fifth cooperative phase, which is evaluation. The questions in the spinner wheel consist of cognitive and written scientific communication skills. Written scientific communication skills are also trained in the fourth cooperative phase, which involves guiding groups to work, conducting experiments, and filling out worksheets. This research has also improved the learning activities of the students in class X IPA 3 at SMAN 2 Bantan in the 2022/2023 academic year.
