Pengaruh Pola Asuh Orang Tua Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Di MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low student motivation caused by the upbringing of parents towards students. The formulation of the problem in this study is "Is There an Influence of Parenting Style on Students' Learning Motivation at MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru?". The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of parenting style on students' learning motivation at MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru. The benefits of this research are that first, from a theoretical point of view, this research is expected to contribute to the fields of education and science and can be a reference material or consideration for further research related to scientific writing about the influence of parenting styles on students' learning motivation. From a practical point of view, this research is expected to be useful for parents, teachers, writers and readers regarding the understanding of the influence of parenting styles on learning motivation.
This study used a quantitative descriptive method and the data collection instrument used was a questionnaire containing 30 statements. The population in this study were all students of MTS Fadhilah, totaling 340 people. Sampling is based on theory from Arikunto (2017) if the population is more than 100, 10-15% or 20-25% of the population can be taken. Researchers used 15% of the population so that 51 respondents were obtained using a stratified sampling technique.
Based on the results of research on the influence of parenting patterns on student learning motivation at MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru, it can be stated that parenting style influences student learning motivation at MTS Fadhilah Pekanbaru.
