Living in a heterogeneous environment and the rise of foreign
cultures entering Indonesia, people, especially students, are sometimes carried
away by the currents of globalization. However, students as intellectuals take
an important role in the movement and progress of the nation. Therefore,
students are expected to be a solid foundation in maintaining the integrity of
the country. The purpose of this research is to find out students' perceptions of
ethnic, religious, racial and inter-group tolerance that they feel at FKIP
University of Riau so that it can become a learning reference for all parties,
especially FKIP University of Riau students so that they can increase their
sense of tolerance for FKIP University of Riau students to get better. Using a
quantitative descriptive method with quota sampling as a sample collection
technique. Based on the research results, the results obtained regarding
Student Perceptions of Ethnic, Religious, Racial and Intergroup Tolerance at
FKIP, University of Riau, were included in the "Good" category with a
percentage of 61.1%.
