Pengaruh Pemahaman Konsep HAM (Hak Asasi Manusia) Terhadap Sikap Demokratis Mahasiswa Prodi PPKN Universitas Riau

This study aims to determine the effect of understanding the concept of human
rights (human rights) on the democratic attitude of PPKn students at the
University of Riau. This research was conducted at the University of Riau with a
total of 45 respondents. This research is motivated by the existence of several
problems with Democratic Attitudes at the University of Riau such as the
existence of indifference and low mutual respect among fellow students,
especially between lower level students towards more senior students. Students
don't even greet each other so this results in a loss of respect and respect for
fellow students. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, this
approach was chosen to determine the effect of understanding the concept of
human rights (human rights) on the democratic attitudes of students of the PPKn
Study Program, University of Riau. This study obtained research results using the
Simple Linear Regression Test and R Test. The results showed that the
understanding of the concept of human rights at the University of Riau was at a
very good level. Based on the calculation results, it is known that the value of the
relationship (R) is equal to 0.517. From the output, the coefficient of
determination (R Square) is 0.267 which implies that the influence of the
independent variable (Understanding of the Concept of Human Rights) on the
dependent variable (Student Democratic Attitude) is 26.7%. While the results of
the T test obtained T_count of 3.96 and T_table of 2.01 which shows that
T_count ≥ T_table so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on this
statement, the research hypothesis is accepted that there is an influence of
understanding the concept of human rights on the democratic attitude of students
of the PPKn Study Program, University of Riau.
