Kemampuan Menulis Teks Eksposisi Siswa Kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bangkinang

This type of research is quantitative research. This research was
conducted at SMP N 1 Bangkinang. Sampling in this study is a simple random
sampling technique, namely by taking a probability sample where everyone in the
entire target population has the same opportunity to be selected. To calculate the
determination of the number of samples from a certain population the
author uses the Slovin formula. The method of collecting data in this study is the
test technique of writing explanatory texts in the form of skills. The results of this
study indicate that the ability to write exposition texts for class VIII SMPN 1
Bangkinang as a whole is in the moderate category and the highest average
writing ability for class VIII SMPN 1 Bangkinang is class VIII A, namely 82.37
(high category).
