Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a carcinoma that arises in the nasopharyngeal mucosa and shows microscopic or ultrastructural evidence of squamous differentiation. The etiology of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is not yet known with certainty, but nasopharyngeal carcinoma has risk factors that may occur, such as environmental factors, genetics, and Epstein Barr Virus infection. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma can be diagnosed by early detection based on anamnesis of symptoms, physical examination, and supporting examinations such as nasopharyngeal examination, radiology, serology, and anatomical pathological examination. The purpose of this study is to find out the histopathological profile of nasopharyngeal carcinoma at Arifin Achmad Hospital in Riau Province period 2021-2022.
