Penerapan Model Ropes Berbantuan Virtual Lab Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Pada Materi Cahaya Kelas VIII SMP
Science learning is learning that requires a high level of conceptual understanding and good skills. Conceptual understanding will increase if there is the application of appropriate learning models and media. But the learning results show that students have a low understanding of the concept. Efforts to increase student understanding of concepts can be applied through innovative learning, namely the assisted ROPES model Virtual Lab. This research was conducted at SMP Taruna Sakti Pekanbaru with a total of 50 students consisting of class VIII Macan Kumbang I & II with the aim of describing students' conceptual understanding after applying the assisted ROPES model Virtual Lab. The type of research used is quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) using a research design Two Group Posttest Only. The research instrument was a concept comprehension test which totaled 14 multiple choice questions which were arranged based on indicators of conceptual understanding. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results and conclusions of the research show that understanding of concepts in classes that apply the ROPES model is assisted by Virtual Lab compared to classes that apply conventional learning.
