The formulation of the research problem is 1). What is the profile of female workers at
the Srikandi Batik House in Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency? 2).
What is the Process of Becoming a Woman Worker at the Srikandi Batik House in
Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency? 3). What activities are carried out
by women workers at the Srikandi Batik House in Sibuak Village, Tapung District,
Kampar Regency? 4). What are the driving factors for female workers working at the
Srikandi Batik House in Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency? The aim of
the study was to find out the profile of female workers at the Srikandi Batik House in
Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This type of qualitative research
with a case study approach. The data collection techniques of this research are
documentation, observation, and interviews. While the analysis of research data
includes data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and triangulation.
The results of the research are: 1). The status or description of the female workers at
Rumah Batik Srikandi on average only graduated from elementary and junior high
schools, and most of them were already married. The low economic situation of the
Srikandi batik house women workers makes them lack the capital to open other
businesses and have to work to help their husbands make ends meet. Social relations
with the surrounding environment also do not burden housewives as female workers
can manage time to socialize with neighbors during holidays from work. Female
workers have a role in planning expenditures to meet family needs, in making decisions
together in spending the role of female workers is greater, husbands usually only spend
large amounts while in controlling husband and wife have the same role as the interests
family.
