Efek Pupuk Organik Cair Azolla Sp. Terhadap Kandungan Klorofil-A Chlorella Sp.
ABSTRACT Chlorella sp. has a pigment, namely chlorophyll-a which plays a role in the process of photosynthesis. Chlorella sp. culture requires nutrients and chlorophyll-a pigment to increase cell growth. Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) Azolla sp. is expected to be able to meet the nutrients needed by Chlorella sp. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the use (LOF) of Azolla sp. on the chlorophyll-a content of Chlorella sp. and find out what the best dose is to produce the highest chlorophyll-a content of Chlorella sp. This research method uses an experimental method. This research was carried out from June to July 2022 at the Aquaculture Environmental Quality Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Faculty, Riau University. This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The concentration of fertilizer given in this study was P0 (walne 1 mL/L) as a control. As for the LOF Azolla sp. P1 (10 mL/L), P2 (12 mL/L) and P3 (14 mL/L). The results of this study showed P2 as the best treatment which was characterized by the high value of chlorophyll-a content and cell density on the sixth day. The value of chlorophyll-a content reached 0.58 μg/mL and cell density reached 800.66x104 cells/mL while the highest specific growth rate is P2 0.9057 cells.mL-1/day . Water quality during the study is in the optimal range, temperature 27-30 oC, pH 8.0-8.8, dissolved oxygen 3.5-8.8 mg/L, nitrate 1.621-17.324 mg/L and phosphate 0.853 – 3.420 mg/L.
