Distribusi Kelimpahan Diatom Epilitik Pada Tiang Jetty Secara Vertikal Di Kawasan Pecinta Alam Bahari (Pab) Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study was conducted in March 2023 at the Pecinta Alam Bahari (PAB) water area in Dumai City, Riau Island. This study's goal was to identify the varieties of epilithic diatoms that exist, where they are found, and what the aquatic environment is like for them. The technique utilized is method survey, the sampling was done at three jetty poles, samples were taken at the lowest tide with a depth of 200 cm2, and the sampling was done using purposive sampling to determine the sampling. Three plots from the pole's front and back are included for each pole at the sampling location. Plot 1 is the top at a depth of 0–50 cm2, Plot 2 is the center at a depth of 50–100 cm2, and Plot 3 is the bottom at a depth of 100–150 cm2 for sampling epilytic diatoms. At each sampling location (A, B, and C), the jetty pole is repeated. 5 x 5 cm2 is the plot area on the jetty poles. The findings indicated that there were 10 species of epilytic diatoms, with 4 species from the order Naviculaes being the most prevalent. The lowest abundance was discovered on the front side of pole A at a depth of 50 to 100 cm2, whereas the highest abundance was discovered on pole C's rear side at a depth of 100 to 150 cm2.
