ABSTRACT
The Sungai Dumai Nature Tourism Park was established based on the Decree of the Governor of Riau No.85/I/1985 with an area of 5 thousand ha and was determined based on the Decree of the Minister of Forestry No.154/Kpts-II/1990 Year 1990 with an area of 4,712.50 ha. However, the management is not optimal due to several constraints. These conflicts can be resolved by conflict resolution, through conservation partnerships. This study aims to determine the tenure conflicts that exist in the Sungai Dumai Nature Park, find out the existing and ongoing conservation partnerships in the Sungai Dumai Nature Park and find out the perceptions of members of forest farmer groups towards conservation partnerships in the Sungai Dumai Nature Park. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and literature studies. Informants were selected using snowball sampling and accidental sampling, and the minimum group of informants was calculated using the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study show that tenurial conflicts in the Sungai Dumai Natural Tourism Park occur due to different interests between the community and the area manager. There is only one conservation partnership in the Sungai Dumai Nature Park, namely the ecosystem restoration conservation partnership in Mundam Village, Medang. Kampai District, Dumai City. Members of forest farmer groups as a whole have a fairly good perception of conservation. However, the partnership has not yet provided a significant economic impact for members of forest farmer groups.
