Pengembangan Video Dan Penuntun Praktikum Materi Metabolisme Sel Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Mahasiswa LPTK
This study aims to determine the validity of the videos and practicum guides
on the cell metabolism material developed and the influence of the videos and
practicum guides on improving the creative thinking of LPTK students. This
research is a Research and Development (R&D) study. This model consists of 5
stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.
The video validation stage and practicum guide validated by 3 experts. All
aspects of the assessment in the developed practicum guide obtained an average
score of 3.72 with a very valid category, this is because all indicators in each
aspect have fulfilled the criteria for presenting good printed teaching materials.
In the aspect of format and graphics, an average score of 3.70 is obtained with a
very valid category, the language aspect is obtained with a value of 3.67 with a
very valid category, then for the illustration and image aspects, a value of 3.67 is
obtained in a very valid category, the content aspect obtains an average score -
an average of 3.90 with a very valid category, and aspects of creative thinking get
a very valid category of 3.67.
The practicality stage involved 20 biology education students at the
University of Riau. The results of the limited trial I average value of the response
to the practicum guide developed was 3.58 in the very good category. The results
of the second phase of the limited trial were 3.65 in the very good category. The
overall validity of the assessment aspects of the developed practicum video is 3.83
with a very valid category. The validity consists of the validity of the material
aspect with a value of 3.62 with a very valid category, the validity of the language
aspect with a very valid category of 3.60, the validity of the video quality aspect
with a very valid category of 3.66, and the validity of the video presentation
aspect with a value of 3.50 category very valid. Meanwhile, student responses to
the use of video in the limited trial stage I by 20 biology education students,
namely 3.58, were very good. The results of the second phase of the limited trial
by 20 biology education students were 3.64 in the very good category
The results of the experimental stage research showed that there was a
significant effect of the use of video and practicum guides on students' creative
thinking, namely in the experimental class (using videos and practicum guides)
was 81.8 which was included in the high category. The results of the N-gain test
analysis showed that the average score for the control class (without using videos
and practical guides) was 53.5, which was included in the low category. The
results of the posttest students after being given treatment with videos and
practicum guides were in good categories, while in the control class which were
not given treatment the category was not good. Based on the results of the recap
analysis of the N-gain score, it can be concluded that the use of videos and
practicum guides can improve students' creative thinking abilities.

Based on the independent sample t-test, it showed that there were
differences in creative thinking in the control class and in the experimental class.
This means that there is an influence of videos and practical guides on students'
creative thinking. The videos and practicum guides on cell metabolism materials
developed are suitable for use as independent learning resources to facilitate
creative thinking for TTI students. For future researchers, it is suggested to be
able to develop videos and practicum guides covering other practicum material or
continue the next stage of this development research.
