Pengembangan E-Modul Berbasis Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik Pada Materi Kimia Hijau Kelas X SMA/Ma
This study aims to produce Problem Based Learning -based e-modules to improve students' critical thinking skills on Green Chemistry material, to determine the validity of Problem Based Learning e-modules to improve students' critical thinking skills on Green Chemistry material based on the assessment of material experts and experts media, knowing the effectiveness of e-modules based on Problem Based Learning to improve students' critical thinking skills on Green Chemistry material. This research is motivated by the lack of students' critical thinking skills and the lack of electronic-based teaching materials such as e-modules based on Problem Based Learning which can improve students' critical thinking skills in the learning process.
The method used in this study is the research and development (R and D) method, using the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluate . The data analysis technique in this study was to use validation sheets, instrument questions and questionnaires for e -module student responses . The population in this study were class X students of SMAN 1 Siak Kecil. The validation sheet assessment was carried out by 4 expert lecturers, namely 2 material experts and 2 media experts. One-on-one trials were conducted on 6 students who had different abilities, namely 2 students who had high abilities, 2 students who had moderate abilities and 2 students who had low abilities. The wide-scale trial was carried out in class X 1 as the control class with 27 students and X 2 as the experimental class with 29 students. The research design used in the large-scale test is the nonequivalent control group design . The sampling technique is purposive sampling .
The results showed that the Problem Based Learning e-module which was developed to improve students' critical thinking skills in green chemistry material received a percentage of material expert validation of 96,67 % with a very valid category. The aspects assessed by material experts are content feasibility, language, graphics and presentation. Meanwhile, media experts gave an assessment percentage of 92,99 % with a very valid category. The aspects assessed are content, design, appearance, and usability components. Instrument validation of critical thinking skills got a percentage of 94,12 % from material experts in the very valid category. The results of the analysis of one-on-one trials obtained suggestions and comments from students which were used as revisions to the e-module . The results of the student response questionnaire analysis obtained 83,05 % with an interesting category and good qualifications.
The large-scale trial showed that the Problem Based Learning e-module developed on green chemistry material was declared effective in improving students' critical thinking skills based on an independent sample t-test with a sig value 0,000 < 0,05, meaning that Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in students' critical thinking skills between the experimental and control classes. The improvement of students' critical thinking
skills in the experimental class was seen from the N-Gain Score test of 0.72 in the high category.
Based on the data analysis above, it can be concluded that using Problem Based Learning e-modules can improve students' critical thinking skills in green chemistry material.
