Kemampuan Menyimak Teks Berita Dengan Audiovisual Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kabun

The background of this research is audiovisual as a learning media
for news texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kabun. The
formulation of the research problem is what is the level of ability to
listen to news texts with audiovisuals for class VIII students of SMP
Negeri 2 Kabun. This research was conducted with the aim of describing
the ability to listen to news texts for Grade VIII students of SMP
Negeri 2 Kabun. The sample of this study was 27 students of class VIII B
which were determined by purposive sampling technique. This type of
research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The
score obtained from the ability test to listen to news texts with
audiovisual in class VIII B students according to the assessment
criteria, namely the criteria for being 8 people, the criteria for high
10 people, and the criteria for very high 9 people. In this chi square
test there is a significant value of 0.001
