Pengaruh Strategi Know Want Learned (KWL) Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Eksposisi Siswa Kelas X SMAN 3 Tapung Hulu
This study aims to determine the effect and differences in the ability to
write exposition texts of students who use the KWL strategy and those who use
conventional strategies. The method that the author uses is experimental research
with a quantitative approach. The research design that the author uses is between
group design, true experiment type (pure experiment), namely the pretest-posttest
only control group design. The population in this study were all students of class
X Science & Social Sciences at SMAN 3 Tapung Hulu. The sample is X IPA 1 as
the control class and X IPS 2 as the experiment. The sampling technique in this
study was purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used paired sample t test,
with alternative test Wilcoxon signed rank test. The test results show that there is
an influence from the implementation of the KWL strategy on the ability to write
exposition texts with the calculation results Fhit 20.789 > Ftab 3.92. The effect is
2.5%, and the relationship is 0.158. The effect resulting from the implementation
of the KWL strategy on the ability to write students’ exposition texts leads to a
positive influence with the results of the regression coefficient of 0.116, which
means that every 1% the value of the exposition text post KWL strategy test
increases by 0.116.
