COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Symptoms range from asymptomatic to severe symptoms. Several blood biochemical parameters show a correlation with the severity of COVID-19 patients. One of them is albumin. The purpose of this research was to compare the serum albumin levels of survivors and nonsurvivors of COVID-19 patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru, Riau Province 2021. The type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional study design. The sample was collected by using the consecutive sampling method. The data of this research was acquired from secondary data on medical records of COVID-19 patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru, Riau Province 2021. This research has 84 total samples, 43 (52.1 %) were males and the majority were aged 46-59 as many as 38 (45.2%). Serum albumin level of COVID-19 patients showed that surviving patients had a higher average serum albumin level of 3.82 ± 0.51, while nonsurvivors patients average of 3.06 ± 0.75.
