Solar System 3D is an interactive learning media that presents Solar System
material in three dimensions. This media is sought to increase students'
understanding of concepts. The purpose of this study was to determine the
effectiveness of using the 3D Solar System media through the Cooperative Learning
model to improve students' conceptual understanding of class VII at SMP Negeri
11 Pekanbaru. This study used the Quasi Experiment method with a sample of 2
classes. The data collection instrument was in the form of a test of understanding
the material concepts of the earth and the solar system. Data analysis was used,
namely descriptive analysis in the form of media effectiveness in increasing
conceptual understanding, then inferential analysis through normality tests,
homogeneity tests and Independent Sample T-Test tests with the help of SPSS
version 26. The results showed that learning used Solar System 3D learning media
through the Cooperative model Effective learning is used to improve students'
understanding of concepts with the experimental class obtaining an average score
of 78.57 and the control class 61.14. While the inferential results obtained are that
there are significant differences between classes that apply learning using the Solar
System 3D media through the Cooperative Learning model with conventional
classes with sig 0.000
