Kajian Sifat C-Organik Gambut Ombrogen Terhadap Ketebalan Gambut Di Desa Meskom Kabupaten Bengkalis
ABSTRACT
Peatlands have unique characteristics that are determined by many factors, one of which is the thickness of the peat. The ombrogenous peat soil type has a low fertility rate, due to its location in a peat dome with deep peat soil thickness. This study aimed to identify the C-organic content of peat soil fertility and construct a relationship pattern between ash content and C-organic with peat thickness vertically. Soil sampling was carried out in Meskom Village, Bengkalis Regency. The parameters observed are peat thickness, C-organic, and ash content which was analyzed by 20 cm of peat thickness. Data were analyzed statistically with simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the thickness of the peat at the two drilling points was classified as very deep peat. Overall the C-organic content at both points was classified as very high, with a mesotrophic fertility level. The regression test results show that peat thickness and ash content had an inverse relationship pattern, namely the ash content tended to decrease with increasing peat thickness. The thickness of peat and C-organic has a unidirectional relationship pattern, namely C-organic increases with the thickness of peat. The pattern of the relationship between ash content and C-organic has an inverse relationship, namely an increase in C- organic is followed by a decrease in ash content.
