Keanekaragaman Jenis Mangrove Di Desa Sonde Kecamatan Rangsang Pesisir Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

ABSTRACT
Biodiversity is one of the country's assets which is very beneficial if it is managed and utilized wisely. Sonde Village has a mangrove forest which plays an important role for the local community. This study aims to determine the diversity of mangrove species in Sonde Village, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti Islands Regency. Data collection used a systematic sampling method with a random start. Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner and using the important value index formula and the Shannon Wienner diversity index. The results showed that there were six types of mangroves namely Rhizophora apiculata, Ceriops tangal, Bruguiera cylindrical, Xylocarpus granatum, Sonneratia alba and Avicennia marina. The results of data analysis showed that the diversity index value of the seedling level was classified as moderate, the sapling level was classified as medium, and the tree level was classified as low.
