ABSTRACT
Mangrove forests often used by local communities to meet their daily needs, both directly and indirectly. Such uses include the conversion of mangrove forests into shrimp ponds, agricultural land, building materials, firewood and charcoal production. This mangrove forest utilization activity has been carried out by the community around the mangrove forest, including Sonde Village community, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti Islands Regency.This survey aims to find out the income of the people using mangrove forest products in Sonde Village, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti Islands Regency. Knowledge of the magnitude of the contribution of mangrove forests to the income of the people of Sonde Village, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti Islands Regency This research was conducted in Sonde Village, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province.The analysis performed in this study is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis using mangrove income analysis, mangrove cost analysis, mangrove income analysis, non-mangrove income, total community income, amount of mangrove income contribution.The average income of the people of Sonde Village, Rangsang Pesisir District, Meranti Islands Regency who use the mangrove forest is Rp. 4,399,608.69 in the year with a total income of Rp. 101,191,000 in the year. The contribution of mangrove forests to the income of the people of Sonde Village is 28.44% per year. factors affect the income of the people of Sonde Village who used the mangrove forest, is the selling price and the lack of guidance.
