Analisis Penggunaan Fuse Sebagai Pengaman Pada Automatic Voltage Regulator Terhadap Gangguan Hubung Singkat Pada Penyulang
ABSTRACT Fuse has an important role in protecting electronic devices from overcurrent disturbances. One of electronic device that uses a fuse as a means of protection is the AVR. The AVR on the Koto Gasib 25 MW PLTMG can be damaged due to the failure of the fuse to protect against short circuit fault currents from the feeder. The damage that occurred to the AVR due to the failure of the fuse in protecting the short circuit fault current from the feeder resulted in damage to the 7805 regulator IC on the AVR. The occurrence of a fuse failure in securing the AVR is a delay in disconnecting the fuse when a short circuit occurs which causes an increase in current at the AVR input current. So setting the disconnection time on the fuse plays an important role in protecting against short circuit fault currents. The simulation was carried out using the ETAP and VoltSim applications to test the short circuit fault current on the feeder and the short circuit fault current on the fuse. The simulation was carried out by providing 3-phase and 1-phase short circuit faults to the ground at a distance of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% respectively from the PLTMG 25 MW Koto Gasib to 4 feeders at ULP Siak namely Merpati feeders, Bacan feeders, Sapphire feeders and Oman feeders. Giving different distances and types of short circuit faults, namely to determine the distance and type of short circuit faults that have the most impact on Fuse damage. Obtained from the results of the simulation carried out there is at a distance of 25% short circuit fault 3 phase on each feeder has the greatest value of
