Desain Antena Berbasis Substrate Integrated Waveguide (Siw) Pada Frekuensi D-Band
ABSTRACT
To cope with the increasing complexity using communication models in higher generations, every technology is expected to provide effective and efficient wireless communication to support various services. 6G is expected to be not only smart but also provide full broadband service capabilities compared to 5G. In this study, a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based antenna design was carried out at the working frequency of the d-band. Various characterizations were performed in the design process to improve antenna parameters such as the ground and patch dimension characterization to shift the frequency, bevel and slot characterization to increase antenna bandwidth. In the single-element antenna design, several antenna parameters were obtained with a return loss below -10 dB with range frequency 132,5 GHz - 148,95 GHz, a matching bandwidth of 11.75%, and a gain of 3.036 dBi. Furthermore, a single-element antenna was configured as an array to increase the antenna bandwidth, with antenna array configurations of 2, 4, and 8 elements. The simulation results showed that the 2-element array configuration had a matching bandwidth of 13.41% with an antenna gain of 7.04 dBi. The 4-element array configuration had a matching bandwidth of 13.01% with an antenna gain of 9.31 dBi. Finally, the 8-element array configuration had a matching bandwidth of 13.23% with an antenna gain of 11.6 dBi.
