Background : Elderly individuals, pregnant women, and children are vulnerable groups that have a high risk of getting infected with COVID-19. Pregnant women are classified as a vulnerable group at risk of COVID-19 infection because physiological changes during pregnancy can result in decreased partial immunity, which can have serious consequences for pregnant women.
Objective : To determine the relationship between blood pressure and the severity of COVID-19 in pregnant women at Arifin Achmad Hospital during the period of 2020-2022.
Methods : The research method is a retrospective analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. The total number of research samples is 33 individuals. Blood pressure is an independent variable, while the severity of COVID-19 is the dependent variable.
Results : The bivariate analysis results indicate that there is no relationship between blood pressure and the severity of COVID-19 in pregnant women with a p-value of 0,366, which is greater than 0,05 (p>α).
Conclusion : Blood pressure is not related to the severity of COVID-19 in pregnant women at Arifin Achmad Hospital.
