Perbandingan Manajemen Bandwidth Metode Hierarchical Token Bucket (Htb) Dan Peer Connection Queue (Pcq) Pada Sds It Sahabat Muslim
ABSTRACT
SDS IT Sahabat Muslim is one of the schools that uses the internet for learning and
school administration. A stable internet connection is needed to make it easier to
manage school data, but the more teachers or students who use the internet
simultaneously without any bandwidth management, of course it will affect the
speed of the internet connection and decrease its performance. Based on these
problems, bandwidth management is needed to limit speed and maintain bandwidth
quality so that the internet remains optimal even though it is being used
simultaneously. Several bandwidth limitation methods that can be applied include
the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) and Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) methods.
Of the two methods, of course, a series of tests are needed to determine which
method is more suitable to be implemented at SDS IT Sahabat Muslim. Each
method of bandwidth management was tried to apply and carried out several tests
such as PING testing, internet speed testing, testing watching online videos via
Youtube, testing Virtual Meetings using Zoom, and testing Downloading files. Then
a comparison was made from the results of the trials of each method and the results
showed that the PCQ method was more suitable to be applied at SDS IT Sahabat
Muslim compared to the HTB method.
Keywords: Bandwidth Management Method, Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB),
