Analisis Pengaruh Perbedaan Jumlah Blade Terhadap Efisiensi Pada Turbin Ulir Archimedes
ABSTRACT
The Archimedes turbine is one of the hydropower generators which is very suitable for use in various streams with a head between 1-10 m, where the Archimedes turbine belongs to the micro hydropower group with a screw shape turbine. The Archimedes screw turbine generator system is the opposite of the Archimedes pump which is used to drain water from a lower level to a certain level. The Archimedes turbine micro hydropower plant itself has several advantages, including a relatively cheap manufacturing price, environmentally friendly, suitable for low head water flow and easy to operate so it is suitable for use in certain community environments. The design of the Archimedes turbine is determined based on internal parameters (inside diameter, number of blades, pitch distance and screw shape) and external parameters (outer diameter, screw length, and angle of inclination) which are determined based on the application location of the Archimedes screw turbine itself. The 2 blade turbine experienced the highest efficiency value at a flow rate of 1.31 L/s (60˚ opening) of 80,73% while the 3 blade turbine experienced an efficiency value at a flow rate of 1.83 L/s (70˚ opening) of 63,79%, the 2 blade turbine has a better ability to absorb energy than the 3 blade turbine. The maximum power of the turbine occurs on a slope between 20˚- 40˚. The maximum power of a 2 blade turbine is at a turbine slope of 20˚ and a 3 blade turbine at a turbine slope of 30˚. Minimum power of both turbines at 60˚ slope.
