Rancang Bangun Fraktal Band Pass Filter Pada Frekuensi 9,3 Ghz Untuk Aplikasi Man-Pack Surveillance Radar (Mpsr)
ABSTRACT
In this final project research a band pass filter is designed and realized to work at the X-Band frequency used for the Man-pack Surveillance Radar (MPSR). This final project presents the design, simulation, and analysis of band pass filters using the fractal microstrip filter method using Rogers Duroid 5880 substrates with dielectric constant (εr) = 2,2, dielectric layer thickness (h) = 1,575 mm, and loss tangent = 0,0009 . The method in this final project uses fractal microstrips designed in a triangular shape. The fractal method was chosen to shrink the filter dimensions. Design and simulation using Advanced Design System (ADS) software. The filter response is selected Chebyshev type. From the results of the filter design simulation, the value of return loss (S11) is -41,766 dB at a frequency of 9,307 GHz, insertion loss (S21) -2,334 dB, and a bandwidth of 197 MHz. While the measurement results obtained a return loss value of -22,992 dB at a frequency of 9,300 GHz, insertion loss of -3,215 dB. In the simulation results of this fractal band pass filter has a high Q-factor of 47,11.
