Rancang Bangun Mixer X-Band Frekuensi 9,3 Ghz Untuk Aplikasi Man-Pack Surveillance Radar (Mpsr)
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is an archipelagic country that really needs a device to monitor land areas and sea areas throughout Indonesia. One of the devices that can be used to monitor an area is radar. With the large number of areas that must be monitored and the limited number of radars, a portable radar such as a man-pack radar is needed. Man-pack radar is one of the radars that is used intermittently and can be used in remote areas or border areas. Radar consists of several components such as power supply, antenna, filter, power divider, LNA. In addition, there is also one important component of the radar, namely the mixer. The mixer used in this study is the transmitter mixer which is useful in the transmitter section. This research examines mixer performance for man-pack surveillance radar operating at 9.3 GHz, with return loss of -14 dB, insertion loss of -3 dB, bandwidth of 200 MHz and port-to-port isolation of -10 dB. The mixer is designed using rogers duroid 5880 with a thickness of 1,575 mm and a relative dielectric constant of 2.2 mm. The results from the mixer obtained a frequency of 9,320 GHz, return loss -30,643 dB, insertion loss -3,120 dB and isolation port-to-port IF-LO -14,407 dB and at the LO-RF port -15,966 dB.
