ABSTRACT
In the current digital era, information technology and computerization have become inseparable parts of education. SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kerinci utilizes information technology to efficiently manage student data, but has not implemented adequate security measures. The main issue is the unauthorized alteration of student grades in the computer server, which harms students and compromises the integrity of the assessment process. Additionally, limitations in the performance of teachers' laptops cause delays in accessing data, and storing data on the server increases the risk of data leaks or unauthorized access. To enhance security and safeguard the integrity of student data, security measures such as Secure Shell (SSH) and Fail2Ban need to be implemented. This research aims to improve network security and protect student data at SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kerinci by implementing SSH and Fail2Ban security measures.
