Audit Energi Boiler Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap Berkapasitas 1,2 Mw Di Pt. Bangun Tenera Riau
ABSTRACT
Boilers are closed vessels primarily used for the generation of steam from air by burning fuels, namely, coal, gas, nuclear, etc. Energy auditing is the process of evaluating energy utilization, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and recommending efficiency improvements for energy sources and energy users in order to conserve energy. Based on the preliminary data collection on the boiler, an efficiency value of 68.49% was obtained. If this efficiency value is compared to the boiler efficiency specification of 85.94%, it indicates a decrease in boiler efficiency. The direct calculation of boiler efficiency yields a value of 66.17%, while the indirect method of calculating boiler efficiency with actual air requirements gives a value of 62.7%. Furthermore, the indirect method of calculating boiler efficiency with excess air results in a value of 58.86%, whereas using theoretical air requirements yields an efficiency value of 75.18%. To improve the boiler efficiency, the combustion system needs to be optimized to achieve complete combustion. This can be achieved by installing a Inverter. After conducting a feasibility analysis, the installation of a Inverter is deemed appropriate because it can save fuel from the actual boiler efficiency by 3,625,545 kg/year and from the boiler efficiency with excess air by 5,167,305 kg/year. This translates to a cost saving of Rp. 2,750,436,000/year for the actual boiler efficiency and Rp. 3,983,844,000/year for the boiler efficiency with excess air.
