Kaji Eksperimental Salt Gradient Solar Pond Kapasitas Tangki 1000 Liter
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is located in the equatorial region, so it has a longer sunlight exposure time. However, the problem faced from this solar energy is the storage of energy that has been collected by the collector. So far, the existing forms of solar energy storage are hot water tanks, rocks, phase change materials, and solar ponds. Solar ponds are salt water ponds that are capable of storing solar radiation and thermal energy for long periods of time. Solar ponds have many advantages over other renewable energy sources due to their low cost and simple construction methods. This research was conducted for 6 days from 09:00 to 17:00. Testing was carried out once an hour with a variation of 13 test points on the temperature and density of the solar pond. For the peak temperature of the previous research is not much different from the experimental research, namely for the peak temperature of the previous research 48.7oC and for the peak temperature of the experimental testing 47.8oC and also for the density value is almost the same as the experimental research with the previous research density value of 1.2 g/cm3 and for the experimental 1.15 g/cm3 due to differences in heat from solar radiation and the area of the previous research which is close to the sea which makes the weather during the day there hotter than the experimental testing area. With this test, further research should be carried out at a brighter time in order to get higher temperature and density data than the previous test.
