Identifikasi Tingkat Pemahaman Peserta Didik Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Kesetimbangan Ion Dan Ph Larutan Penyangga Di Kelas XI MIpa SMAN 1 Pekanbaru
This study aims to describe the level of understanding of students and the
factors that cause learning difficulties using the instrument Higher Thinking
Order Skills (hots) in chemistry lessons on the subject matter of ionic
equilibrium and the pH of a buffer solution. The subjects of this study were
108 students consisting of 4 classes XI MIPA. This research method used is
quantitative and qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out by
providing Higher Thinking Order Skills (hots) questions, questionnaires and
analysis of interview results. The data obtained from the results of this study
indicate that the level of understanding of students on ionic equilibrium and
the pH of the buffer solution is 62.87% (moderate). Factors causing learning
difficulties in students are caused by internal factors which include participant
motivation towards ion balance material and pH buffer solutions with a
motivational sub-variable of 60% (moderate).
