ABSTRACT
Atha Mapper 2150 take-off uses the hand launch method. The hand launch method is a method that utilizes the throwing force exerted by the launcher operator during takeoff. Take-off using the hand launch method has disadvantages, namely having a low level of safety, ejection strength, and ejection angles that vary each take-off so that it is at risk of causing a crash. This research aims to produce the Wahana Atha Mapper 2150 ejection system, determine the strength of the ejector frame structure of the Wahana Atha Mapper 2150, produce the Wahana Atha Mapper 2150 ejection system, determine the performance of the Wahana Atha Mapper 2150 ejection system. The design process of this ejection system refers to the specifications of the Atha Mapper 2150 vehicles, namely wing span: 2150 mm, MTOW: 6 kg, stall speed of 10 m/s, and ejector frame design assisted by SolidWorks software. Simulation of the strength of the structure is carried out with the help of software ansys. The results of manual calculations of the strength of the structure show that the ejection system has a safety value factor that meets the design criteria of 157.728, the resulting deflection is 0.101 mm (center of the frame), and a voltage of 2.8 Mpa. From the results of the simulation of the strength of the frame structure, the maximum deflection value that occurs is 0.26561 mm (center of the frame), the maximum stress that occurs is 41.66 Mpa (at the mainframe connection) and the minimum safety factor value is 7.542. The results of performance calculations, the thrower can produce a maximum speed of 12.081 m / s and test results of 11.95 m/s, This ejection speed meets the criteria for the ejection speed set, which is ≥ 11 m/s. This is why the ejector can help the Atha Mapper 2150 Ride for take-off.
