ABSTRACT
Advances in heavy equipment technology demand that maintenance on the unit is increasingly needed in order to improve the quality of work, so that the work carried out can be completed at the planned time. Periodic maintenance is very important for heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns. Breakdown is damage that occurs due to lack of maintenance on heavy equipment. one of the necessary maintenance on the bottom of the machine unit. Mechanic creeper is a tool that makes it easier for mechanics to carry out maintenance on the bottom of heavy equipment units. Mechanic creeper is divided into 3 types, namely, mechanic creeper vintage, mechanic creeper chair and mechanic creeper crawler. This research will combine the advantages of a mechanic creeper chair and a mechanic creeper crawler which will facilitate the work of mechanics in carrying out maintenance on under heavy equipment by adding an electrical system to the aids. From a comparison of the results of manual calculations and dynamic simulations using the Autodesk Inventor Student 2021, the maximum values for the von Mises stresses are 56,77 MPa and 58,62 MPa, with the minimum safety factors of 5,98 and 4,57, while the maximum deflection values are obtained 0,72 mm and 0,75 mm.
For the dynamic simulation, the lift value for the mechanic creeper is obtained with a height of 105,69 mm in 41 seconds and a torque of 324,38 N.mm.
