Identifikasi Bakteri Pada Lalat Rumah (Musca Domestica) Di TPS Kelurahan Jaya Mukti Kota Dumai Sebagai Rancangan E-Poster Biologi Berbasis Website Materi Bakteri SMA
Several species of flies are species that play an important role in public health
problems, namely as vectors for transmitting various diseases. One such vector is the
house fly (Musca domestica). Musca domestica is found in association with humans,
especially in environments with poor sanitation. His close life with humans makes it easy
for him to become a vector for various diseases by carrying disease germs through his
body. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the types of bacteria found in
house flies (Musca domestica) in TPS Jaya Mukti Village, Dumai City. This research was
conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau in
October 2022. This type of research used a descriptive research design with a laboratory
identification approach. Isolation of bacteria in house flies was carried out using
selective media TCBS, SSA and MSA, then followed by the identification of bacteria
through macroscopic observations which included colony shape, colony margins, colony
elevation, colony color and continued with gram staining and biochemical tests. The
results showed that there were 9 types of bacteria found in house flies (Musca domestica)
in TPS Kelurahan Jaya Mukti Dumai City, the 9 types of bacteria consisted of Vibrio sp
1, Vibrio sp 2, Salmonella sp, Shigella sp, Enterobacter sp, Staphylococcus sp 1,
Staphylococcus sp 2, Bacillus sp and Streptococcus sp. The results of bacterial
identification in house flies (Musca domestica) at TPS Jaya Mukti Subdistrict, Dumai
City have the potential to be used as a website-based biology e-poster design for high
school biology learning to enrich learning resources on bacteria KD 3.5 and 4.5.
