Strategi Pengelolaan Sampah Di Pasar Baru Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan
The waste management strategy at Pasar Baru, Pangkalan Kerinci is
expected to be able to create beauty, cleanliness and public health as well as
reduce the reduction of waste that will go to the TPA, calculate potential sellers
and market managers and the Environmental Service, it is also hoped that it will
become a consideration in waste management. In addition, it can provide
motivation for Pasar Baru and Pangkalan Kerinci District in particular.
This research aims to analyze the existing condition of Pasar Baru waste
management, analyze the factors that influence waste management in Pasar
Baru, and formulate a waste management strategy in Pasar Baru.
To answer the above objectives, field surveys, observations and
interviews with the community were carried out. Then do a SWOT analysis.
The results of the study show that the existing condition of waste
management at Pasar Baru Pangkalan Kerinci has not gone well, this can be seen
from the large amount of garbage piled up in Pasar Baru. Factors that need to be
considered in waste management at Pasar Baru are the low awareness and
knowledge of the community about waste management, not yet optimal waste
management, the role of waste management institutions has not been effective,
and regional regulations on waste management have not been effectively
implemented.
The strategy used in waste management at Pasar Baru is by providing waste
transportation facilities to meet the number of needs and improve waste
management facilities and infrastructure.
The Environmental Service should continue to pay attention to and
improve the existing waste management system. This could include things like
increasing community participation in waste management programs, developing
more efficient waste management systems, and raising awareness about the
importance of proper waste management. Thus, the environmental service can
help reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment and public health.
